Southern derby as Treaty United face Cobh Ramblers in League of Ireland

THERE’S a southern derby on the cards when Treaty United travel to tackle Cobh Ramblers in the League First Division on Friday (7.45pm).

Both teams are in serious need of points.

The following week, Treaty are again Leeside to face Cork City.

At the weekend, Treaty and Wexford FC served up a cracking 2-2 draw at the Markets Field, a contest in which the home side were most unlucky not to have secured the win. Lee Devitt, who was outstanding all through, and Mark Byrne had goals for Tommy Barrett’s side.

On Monday, Longford Town were 2-1 winners in Garryowen.

In the FAI Senior Cup, useful junior outfit Pike Rovers host Villa FC of Waterford at Crossagalla on Sunday (3pm).
