‘NO Vote, No Voice’ was the theme of a recent conference held in Limerick City on the importance of engaging in democracy.

The conference was hosted by Fine Gael senator Maria Byrne and Segun Oriowo, chair of Fine Gael’s Limerick City branch.

The conference stressed the importance of engagement in democracy at a local level in a move to build momentum on the run up to June 7’s local elections.

Encouraging everyone in Limerick to register to vote this June, Senator Byrne said that “our democracy thrives when every voice is heard, and every vote counts.”
