FOLLOWING a serious road traffic accident in Adare, County Limerick, at the start of this past month (Friday May 3), Gardaí have issued a local appeal for information to members of the public and potential witnesses to the incident.

On the day in question, a male cyclist was struck by a car. The driver of the car remained on the scene to offer assistance to the cyclist, who was then taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of his injuries.

Gardaí say this happened before they arrived on the scene, so no details of the witness were taken.

Gardaí in Newcastle West are appealing for anyone who saw anything, or who may have dashcam footage of the incident, to contact them on 069 20 650.
