QUESTIONS have been asked of Limerick City and County Council around the progress made on pedestrian crossings at the Tipperary Roundabout and the provision of a pedestrian crossing on the Ballysimon Road.
In response to Fine Gael councillor Sarah Kiely at April’s monthly Metropolitan District meeting, the Council explained that the proposed Tipperary Roundabout pedestrian crossings and a crossing on the Ballysimon Road have been included in the preliminary design for the Ballysimon Road Active Travel Project.
“The designs have been presented to the National Transport Authority and some minor revisions are being undertaken.
The project will be further progressed in Q2 2026 and brought for Part 8 later in the year,” Cllr Kiely was informed by Director of Transport, Patricia Liddy.
