LIMERICK will host Tipperary in the preliminary quarter-final of the Tailteann Cup at Mick Neville Park on Saturday (4pm).

Meanwhile, the Limerick ladies greatly impressed in a 1-12 to 0-8 away win over Longford in the opening group fixture of the All-Ireland Junior Football Championship.

The Limerick scores came through Iris Kennelly (1-2), Deborah Murphy (0-4), Róisín Ambrose (0-3), Cathy Mee (0-2), and Kate Kennedy, 0-1.
