TWO projects in Limerick working to support migrant inclusion were awarded significant funding by the government under the Asylum, Migration, and Integration (AMIF) fund.

The grant fund is awarded to projects working to support the reception and integration of migrants and refugees in Ireland.

€527,288 was awarded to local organisation Doras for its Asylum, Migration, and Integration support service, while €300,000 was given to Mary Immaculate College’s Embracing Diversity Nurturing Integration Project.

Other bodies receiving funding nationwide include the Irish Refugee Council, the Immigrant Council of Ireland, Clare Immigrant Support Centre, and the Irish Red Cross.
