Limerick exhibition to highlight city areas where women feel unsafe

The exhibition will open in the People's Museum on July 15.

A THOUGHT-PROVOKING new exhibition is set to open in the People’s Museum, highlighting a number of places women in Limerick say they feel most unsafe at night.

‘The Night Doesn’t Belong to Us’ is a new photographic exhibition created by photographers Eilís Walsh, Maria McSweeney, and Julie McLoughlin, aiming to shed light on the safety concerns of women in Limerick City.

The exhibition focuses on a number of areas across the city, decided upon by a social media survey put out by the artistic trio.

It set to run at the People’s Museum of Limerick in Pery Square from July 15 until Thursday 25.
