
ON his TV debut, Limerickโs Sรฉamus Flanagan impressed as part of the BBC coverage of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final between Clare and Cork.
For the first time by the BBC, the Final was broadcast to millions of viewers through BBC Two across the UK.
It was the first occasion that BBC had shown the Final.
Flanagan, the holder of five All-Ireland titles, came across exceptionally well on punditry duty alongside Antrimโs Neil McManus, Austin Gleeson of Waterford and Paul Murphy (Kilkenny).
Pitchside with reporter Mark Sidebottom was Corkโs Seรกn รg ร hAilpรญn, with Sarah Mulkerrins presenting the live coverage.
Connor Phillips was also a reporter.
Jamesie OโConnor (Clare) joined Thomas Niblock on commentary duty.
Comedians Dara OโBrien (Cork) and David OโDoherty (Dublin) and actors Jimmy Nesbitt (Antrim) and Siobhan McSweeney, Derry Girls were also in attendance.
