THERE will be a special celebration of Ukrainian Independence Day this week in one County Limerick town.
Friar’s Gate Theatre in Kilmallock will host a celebration of Ukrainian culture this Saturday (August 24) from 11am to 5pm.
The event is being run by Ballyhoura Development and will see fun and games for children, an exhibition of Ukrainian art, and a screening of Ukrainian cartoon ‘Mavka‘ – with English subtitles so all can enjoy.
Organisers say that all are welcome to attend and that all activities across the Ukrainian Independence Day celebration will be completely free of charge.
