TWO horses were seized by Limerick City and County Council in the area of the New Roundabout in Caherconlish outside Limerick City on August 12.

The local authority said that the horses are a brown and white male and a bay male, both aged around one and a half years old.

The identity of the owner of the seized animal is not known to the Council, according to a statement posted online by the local authority.

By June this year, the Council had seized 42 horses, down on 45 seizures in the same period in 2023.
