THE LIMERICK City Traveller Health Programme are sowing seeds for a better future for all members of the Traveller community.
The local group supported the rollout of a new national campaign focusing on suicide prevention and mental health in the Traveller community, titled ‘The Road to Hope and Change’.
As part of the campaign, the Limerick group planted a cotoneaster tree to symbolise resilience, hope, recovery, and the strength found in community and connection.
The planting came in tandem with National Traveller Mental Health Day, which took place last month, on October 8.
