CONSTRUCTION is underway on one of a number of new housing projects in Limerick City under the ownership of the Mid West Simon Community.
The homelessness organisation confirmed that construction works had commenced on one of its permanent housing projects on Henry Street, which is says is being transformed into affordable housing designed specifically for older people experiencing homelessness.
“Our goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for those who are unable to afford private rentals or purchase their own homes,” Mid West Simon said.
Mid West Simon said it is also “integrating technology to enhance assisted living, providing tools that promote independence and improve the quality of life for senior residents” in an accessible and comfortable environment.

- Internal Dry Lining: Up to €4,500 Grant
