SALESIAN Secondary College of Pallaskenry managed to hold off a dogged Colรกiste Chรบ Chulainn (Louth) down the stretch to earn a 52-47 victory and, with it, the 2024/โ€™25 All-Ireland Under 16 B Boysโ€™ Schools Cup at the National Basketball Arena.

After putting together a late third-quarter surge, the Limerick side managed to stave off their tenacious opponents in the fourth to secure a memorable win.

โ€œBoth teams were neck-and-neck all the wayโ€ admitted Salesian Secondary College coach Michael Brosnan. โ€œThere were just a few lucky breaks that went our way and the boys were good enough to be able to capitalise on them, and that was just the difference.โ€

โ€œThis cup is absolutely huge for the school. This was four years in the making and I couldnโ€™t be more proud of the lads today.โ€
