McMahon wins All-Ireland Handball C’ship

LIMERICK’S Martina McMahon overcame Ciana Ní Churraoin (Galway) in the All-Ireland 4-Wall Senior Singles Handball Final at Croke Park.

30-year-old McMahon, who hails from Croagh/Kilfiny and is attached to Broadford HC (Handball Club), won in straight sets, 21-5, 21-18.

The win re-affirmed McMahon’s standing as one of the sport’s premier competitors.

She has won numerous national titles and reigned supreme on the world stage back in 2018.

Also on her glittery CVs are multiple wins in World Wallball, a version of Handball, Championships.

McMahon is a live contender to represent Ireland in her chosen sport at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
