Boil water notice lifted for Limerick residents over one year later

A BOIL water notice that has been in place for the past two years in County Limerick  has been lifted.

Over 2,000 customers were notified of the good news by Uisce Éireann that works on the Cappamore Foileen Public Water Supply were complete.

The boil water notice which was in place has now been lifted with immediate effect. It had been in place since 2023.

This decision follows consultation undertaken with the Health Service Executive. All consumers can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation, and brushing teeth.

Uisce Éireann and the Health Service Executive Water Local Liaison Group will continue to meet and review ongoing process control, monitoring and testing of the drinking water supply.
