CONTEMPORARY folk duo The Oars – featuring songwriter/guitarist Eoin Coughlan and multi-instrumentalist Brian Morrissey – are to perform ahead of Sunday’s sold-out Munster Senior Hurling Championship contest between Limerick and Cork.
Gates will open at 2pm, and The Oars will be on stage shortly after this.
On Friday last, the pair performed at nearby Thomond Park for the URC fixture between Munster and Ulster.
Their debut album was recorded and produced in Louisiana by multi-Grammy winner Dirk Powell.
The Oars recently supported the iconic band The Stunning and wowed audiences across the country while touring with Damien Dempsey in April 2025.
At the weekend, the pair will be joined by Hermitage Green percussionist Dermot Sheedy and virtuosic fiddle player Cathal Clohessy of Fedamore.
Throw-in for the sporting fixture is 4pm.
