DARRAGH Rainsford of Fairview Rangers was a popular recipient of the Premier League Player of the Season accolade at the Annual Limerick District League Awards Presentation, kindly hosted by McGettiganโs (Limerick City Hotel).
Injury curtailed his seasonโs end, but Rainsford was a key performer earlier in the 2024/25 campaign as the Blues later captured the Premier League and FAI Junior Cup.
Other individual awards were presented to David Frawley (Premier A, Athlunkard Villa), Emmet Hehir (1A, Star Rovers), Darragh OโSullivan (1B, Herbertstowon), Lee Ryan (2A, Ballynanty Rovers), Jody Llewllyn (2B, Moyross), Danny Colbert (3A, Prospect Priory), Josh McCarthy (Young Player, Fairview Rangers), Seรกn McCallig (Youths Premier, Pike Rovers), Adam McGlynn (Youths 1, Shelbourne), Jack Croke (U17 Premier, Pike Roves),ย Thomas Hehir (U17 1, Geraldines), and Alex Woodland (U17 2).

Manager of the Year (joint) winners were Mike Sheil and Paul OโDonnell of Fariview.
Herbertstown management – Shane Keogh, Terry Ranson and Michael OโSullivan – were also recognised.
Barry Curtin was named Referee of the Year.
Treble-winning Hyde Rangers (1975) were also honoured.
Inducted into the Hall of Fame were Tommy OโShaughnessy (Pike), Derek Whyte (Fairview), Martin Cosgrove (Hyde/Weston Rangers), Adrian Lipper (Pike), Martin OโDonnell (Geraldines), Philip Naughton (Caledonians/Janesboro/Hyde), Declan Higgins (Wembley/Star Rovers), Dermot Waters (Janesboro/Wembley) and Declan Cusack (Ballynanty)
On a sad note, former inductee Denis Keehan (goalkeeper – Pike Rovers/Ballynanty Rovers/Fairview Rangers/Newcastle West) passed away late last week.
The night was helped to be successful by many such as Pat Sheehan, Mike Aherne, Turlough McNamara, Ronan Malone and Damien McCormack.
