UISCE Éireann has replaced over one kilometre of aged water mains across Limerick City and its environs that were prone to bursts and leakage.
The works commenced in March this year involving the replacement of over one kilometre of old water mains along Brookville Avenue with new modern pipes, and were carried out as part of Uisce Éireann’s national Leakage Reduction Programme.
It is hoped the completed works will provide a more secure water supply for years to come. Following the completion of the works, reinstatement of permanent road surfaces will be carried out by Uisce Éireann in partnership with Limerick City and County Council.
The works were carried out by Ward and Burke on behalf of Uisce Éireann.
