GARDAÍ arrested a man who was “behaving suspiciously in the Historical Quarter” of Limerick City.
While on patrol in the city, Gardaí from Henry Street’s Community Policing Unit searched the man who they said was seen “behaving suspiciously”, during which a bag of white powder suspected to be cocaine was discovered in the man’s possession.
A Garda statement said the cocaine had an estimated street value of €1,150.
The man was arrested at the scene and the suspected drugs were seized.
The suspected cocaine was to be sent for analysis, which Gardaí said would “determine the course of the investigation”.
