10 new social homes on the way for Ardagh

LIMERICK City and County Council has signed contracts with Jada Projects Limited for the development of 10 new social housing units in O’Connor Park, Ardagh.

The project, valued at €3,188,195 (excluding VAT), marks a significant step forward in addressing the housing needs of the community, the Council said.

The development comprises of four one-bedroom apartment units, four two-bedroom two-storey units, and two three-bedroom two-storey units.

The site, a greenfield location within the existing O’Connor Park housing estate, will undergo extensive site development works including new footpaths, an estate road, boundary treatments, and landscaping works.

“This is another small, welcome step towards progressing our acute housing needs across Ardagh, West Limerick, and across the wider county,” said Mayor John Moran.
