FORMER Iron Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley will perform at Dolan’s on Friday February 6, celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut solo album Silicon Messiah.
The Metal Hall of Fame inductee will perform tracks from the landmark release alongside material from his latest album Circle of Stone and songs from his tenure with Iron Maiden between 1994 and 1999, including classics from The X Factor (1995) and Virtual XI (1998).
Bayley, born in Birmingham in May 1963, began his professional career with Wolfsbane in 1984 before joining Iron Maiden a decade later. During his five-year stint with the legendary metal band, he toured worldwide and recorded two studio albums before launching his solo career in 1999.
Since leaving Iron Maiden, the vocalist has released 14 studio albums plus numerous live recordings, DVDs and compilations. He has built a reputation as one of heavy metal’s hardest-working touring artists, performing extensively across the UK, Europe, North America and Latin America.
The singer has become particularly recognised as an independent artist with a dedicated connection to his fanbase and for delivering high-energy live performances. This year also marks 30 years since he joined Iron Maiden, which he is celebrating with special anniversary shows.
