TRIBUTES have been paid to a founding partner of PUNCH Consulting Engineers in Limerick City, who was laid to rest on Monday (April 20).
Joe Murphy, of Killonan, Castletroy, passed away peacefully at Athlunkard Nursing Home on April 15, surrounded by his family. A spokesperson for PUNCH said Mr Murphy’s “contribution to the firm and to the wider engineering community cannot be overstated”.
He is predeceased by his wife Mary, and will be deeply missed by his children Judith and David, children-in-law Sam and Maria, grandchildren Zara and Logan, siblings Jimmy and Sheila, and a wide network of family and friends.
He was laid to rest in Kilmurry Cemetery following his funeral mass on Monday at St Mary Magdalene Church in Monaleen.
