STUDENTS from Coláiste Nano Nagle in Limerick City were flying high after a hands-on learning experience at the Sky Up Academy Students in Dublin, where they gained insights into careers in media, technology, and broadcasting.

During their visit, the transition year students worked in Sky’s purpose‑built television studio and learned how news and television content is created – from camera operation and sound to presenting and directing.

The Coláiste Nano Nagle students also produced their own news reports, taking on real media roles, while building skills in teamwork, communication and creative problem‑solving.

Since its launch in 2024, more than 2,000 students have participated in the programme.
