
TWO men have been arrested this Tuesday morning (April 28) in connection with the alleged fatal assault on young Limerick mother Scarlett Faulkner on a roadside at Birdhill, County Tipperary.
A statement from Gardaí this morning said that investigating officers arrested two men, aged in their late 40s and late teens, “in connection with this fatal assault”.
The two were being detailed at Garda stations in County Tipperary under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
A Garda spokesperson said that Gardaí continue to investigate the alleged fatal assault, which occurred on the R494 at Birdhill, County Tipperary, on Saturday March 21.
A woman in her 40s and a 16-year-old girl are currently before the courts in connection with the alleged assault.
“A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to support the family of the deceased,” the Garda spokesperson said.
