ALMOST 1,000 vehicles were seized across Limerick city and county throughout all of last year after being found to have been travelling with no insurance.
And, the county may already be on track to surpass that number after just the first three months of 2026.
That’s according to figures provided to Labour TD for Limerick City, Deputy Conor Sheehan, via a parliamentary question in the Dáil.
Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan told Deputy Sheehan that he was advised by An Garda SÃochána that 918 vehicles were seized by Gardaà across the Limerick Division last year for having no insurance.
