FINE Gael councillor Tommy O’Sullivan has urged the Council to carry out a review on the traffic survey carried out on the R517 (Wood Road, Kilfinane), with the intention of moving out the 60kmh signs a further 150 metres.

He also called for the installation of driver feedback signs, along with other road safety measures at this location.

Cllr O’Sullivan was informed at the monthly Cappamore-Kilmallock area meeting that any extension of the 50kmh speed limit beyond this point would not be consistent with the guidelines for setting and managing speed limits in Ireland.
