ANYONE who doesn’t believe in Santa Claus should visit the Noonan household in Templeglantine.

Tony Noonan and his family have raised almost half a million euro for charity over the last 25 years putting on a magnificent Christmas light show.

Just last week, the family presented a cheque for €29,160, the proceeds of the 2025 lights event alone.

The money will be divided between the chosen charities for the year, Milford Care Centre, Limerick Suicide Watch, Sli Eile, and Dromcollogher 26.

Asked how much the event has raised in total, Tony tells the Limerick Post: “Around €450,000. But that’s not down to me alone – my family are a huge part of it and so are all the people who come along and donate and the people who sponsor us. They are so very generous and I want to thank them all, so very much.”

The Noonans invite the world to come to their home in the county every Christmas when it is a beacon of light and joy.

There are no entry tickets or mandatory contributions. Buckets are left out for people to throw in whatever they want to donate.

It takes months of climbing up and down ladders with thousands of LEDs and wiring up hundreds of glowing Santas, reindeer, and snowmen at Tullig North to stage the beloved annual Christmas light show.

The end result can surely be seen from space. And when it comes to generosity and the real spirit of the Christmas season, in Templeglantine, the sky’s the limit.
