Limerick singer-songwriter Peter O’Malley will release a spoken word piece dedicated to the children of war this Thursday.

Blood and Bone will be made available on YouTube and Bandcamp on Thursday June 11, with all proceeds donated to UNICEF.

The track was inspired by a quote from UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell: that children do not start wars and cannot end them, yet always pay the highest price.

O’Malley, known for his songwriting and musical output with the legendary O’Malley’s, has channelled the sentiment into a spoken word format, shining a light on the plight of children caught in conflict zones around the world.
