DAVID Reddan (Castleknock GC) shot two impressive rounds of 70 in blustery conditions and on an immaculately prepared course to win the Castletroy Senior Scratch Cup, sponsored by Trade Electric Group.
His total of -4, featuring a spectacular eagle on the long Par 5 16th hole in Rd 2, gave him the edge over a high-quality chasing pack on -3: Isaac Oliver (73, 68), Dylan Holmes (71, 70), Morgan Cain (71, 70) and Limerick man Conor Hickey (70, 71).
Other strong showings came from Dean McMahon (Castletroy GC) and Donnacha Halpin (Shannon GC) who shot a -2 under par second round to move him nicely up the leaderboard.
