Prison officer remanded on bail

A LIMERICK prison officer will have to wait for directions from the DPP as Gardai tell the court the State is not ready to proceed in his case. The Limerick prison officer is charged with possession of drugs on March 15th last.

Thomas Corry (51) of Aughrim, Scariff, Co Clare, faces four charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
The 51-year-old was further remanded on bail to appear again before Limerick District Court on July 8th.
In March Corry was charged at Roxboro Road with two counts of possession of drugs and two counts of possession of drugs with intent for sale or supply contrary to Section 15 of the Act.
