LIMERICK is to receive a new Coastal Watch liaison Garda inspector as part of An Garda SÃochána’s Coastal Watch campaign.
Following the re-launch of the campaign in Castletownbere, County Cork, by Southern Region commissioner Eileen Foster, a Coastal Watch liaison will be appointed to each division in the Southern Region, including Limerick, Kerry, Cork City, Cork county, and Clare/Tipperary.
Gardaà are encouraging members of the public to report unknown boats landing in remote locations, ribs/boats with names removed or concealed, suspected illegal dumping or fishing, and intentionally destroyed vehicles as part of the policing campaign.
