โ€œSADDENED, very saddened,โ€ said Limerick businessman Vincent Power, this week, when asked about his reaction to the sudden death of king of pop Michael Jackson.

Power, a former journalist with the Irish Examiner Group, was the only reporter to have interviewed Jackson during his 1988 concerts at Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork.

โ€œI had followed the tour to London where I struck up a friendship with Jacksonโ€™s manager when staying at the Mayfair Hotel, and it was he who arranged the Cork interview for me.
