Flannery appeals but cross-appeal lodged by citing officer

-

Jerry Flannery, Ireland hooker, has lodged an appeal against the extent of his six week suspension, imposed by an independent Six Nations disciplinary committee which upheld the player’s citing after the match between France and Ireland on 13 February.

The appeal hearing will be held in London on Wednesday 3rd March 2010 and the appeal committee will be chaired by HHJ Jeff Blackett (England) assisted by Marco Cordelli (Italy) and Douglas Hunter (Scotland).

The Six Nations Disciplinary Officer has lodged a cross-appeal under the terms of the Six Nations Disciplinary Rules, which supplement IRB Regulation 17 for the purposes of the Six Nations Championship.
