Limerick lucky lost parcel dip coming

A LUCKY dip with a difference is coming to Limerick this month and, yes, there could be fluffy toys but there could also be something far more valuable.

After two successful events held in Dublin and Cork, a ‘Lost Packages’ pop-up store will open in Limerick for the first time.

From Tuesday April 21 to Sunday April 26,  shoppers at the Parkway Shopping Centre can visit the pop-up store where French firm King Colis will be selling over 10 tonnes of mystery items.

The scheme saves undelivered packages from being destroyed by logistic companies. Visitors to the pop-up will be able to select their package and, with any luck, will select one of the many high value treasures found at other events – like an ultra-rare Pokémon Card or a collectible gold bar.

The items can range from designer clothes, household items, cosmetics, household appliances, technology, and more.

Packages are sold by weight and customers will have 10 minutes to choose from the 10 tonnes of packages available, but are not allowed to open them before purchase. The items are then weighed to discover the final cost and the surprise is unveiled.

CEO and co-founder of King Colis, Killian Denis, said: “It is such an exciting week because you really never know what you might find in the packages. Hopefully you are one of the lucky ones that finds a real treasure, but there’s no guarantee and that’s all the fun.”

Admission is free or no-waiting tickets can be bought on king-colis.com
