CentreStage Theatre School to take part in upcoming show

A CAST of 24 children from the CentreStage Theatre School in Limerick, run by Richie Ryan, are to take part in ‘Mad About Production’s’ latest show in LIT Millennium Theatre on Saturday May 22.

‘Mad about the Musicals’ is the production company’s new show bringing the glitz and the glamour from the West End stage and the bright lights of Broadway in a two hour show celebrating the great musical moments of classic shows such as ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Phantom Of The Opera’, ‘Miss Saigon’, ‘Cabaret’ ‘Billy Elliot’ and ‘Oliver’ along with comedic songs from Avenue Q, Little Shop Of Horrors and Annie Get Your Gun.

The children from the CentreStage Theatre School will be taking part in two sections of the show, Oliver and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and have been busy rehearsing for the past month and are excited to be taking part in theis well regarded production. The shows producer, Michael Courtney promises “a whistle stop tour into the heart of London’s theatre land in a show containing timeless melodies and unforgettable lyrics of some of the best-loved songwriters like Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice, Alan Boubil and Claude-Michael Schonberg brought together with the stunning vocal talents of a cast of five singers Alan Bowles, Kerry O’Dowd, Leanne Howell, Jacqueline Hughes and Michael Eborall. “ Michael Courtney was nominated in 2008 the UK ‘Producer of the Year’ and his shows have received accolades from trade magazines ‘Stage’ “Outstanding Show” and “Encore ‘The very best show of it’s kind”.
