Loft debut for Choke Comedy

Open just over 2 months The Loft venue is already firmly established as one of Limerick’s leading live theatre, comedy and music venues. This Tuesday,  July 13,  Choke Comedy Improv will make their debut at The Loft when they bring their madcap theatre games and improvised comedy along to the Locke Bar venue. Already a firm favorite with the festival crowd, The Choke Improv have performed at the Mountshannon Arts festival, the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Fringe and the Body and Soul Festival and have now been booked to play the comedy tent at Electric Picnic.

With Choke Comedy Improv nothing is rehearsed and nothing is planned as the audience are in charge of the direction each night takes. Previous choke comedy nights have created the ‘Mother in Law Blues’ and a homage to ‘Enda, The Crime Fighting Elephant’ right before the eyes of the audience. The Improv team are John Loftus, Tracy Aspel, Ann Blake, Myles Breen, Charlie Cassey, Susan Holland, Norma Lowney, and Jerry O’Mullane, with special musical guest Dave Irwin. If you enjoy ‘Whose Line is it anyway’ then this is the night for you.

The comedy continues at the George’s Quay based venue on July 23rd when the Laughing Loft returns once again, this time with special guest, Dave McSavage, star of RTE2’s The Savage Eye.
