McAleer supports Terryglass

COMEDIAN Kevin McAleer will perform at a special fundraising show for the 2010 Terryglass Arts Festival on Saturday July 31 at 8.30pm. McAleer’s evening is for the five day August event which runs this year from Wednesday 18 to Sunday 22.

“Terryglass audiences will be treated to a master class in comic writing timing and delivery as McAleer’s 2010 vision of reality pushes the borders of hilarious insanity to breaking point and beyond,” promises festival chairperson, Valerie Cotter.

“We are delighted to have secured Kevin McAleer for our fundraising event. Kevin’s live performances have remained fresh, original and funnier than ever and he has also entertained people all over Ireland through his column in the Sunday independent last year,” she said.

Described by one critic as putting the “dead back into deadpan”, Kevin has influenced a whole generation of Irish stand-ups from Stewart Lee to David Doherty.
