Clarion gets new GM

Clarion Hotels Ireland have announced the appointment of Ivan Tuohy as General Manager of the Clarion Hotel and the Clarion Hotel Suites Limerick.

Ivan joins the Clarion Group from the four star Armada Hotel in Spanish Point, Co Clare where he held the position of General Manager for the past three years.  During his tenure at the Armada Hotel, he was involved in the redevelopment of the property which has experienced rapid growth in all areas of the business.

Prior to this he held the position of General Manager at the Holiday Inn in Killarney for three years.  Ivan’s previous employers feature some prestigious hotels throughout Ireland and include Dromoland Castle, the Slieve Russell Hotel, the Mercer Hotel and the Carragaline Court Hotel. He is the current secretary of the Shannon Branch of the Irish Hotels Federation.

Speaking of his appointment Ivan said “I am both delighted and privileged to take up the position as General Manager of the Clarion Hotels in Limerick. Living locally, I am aware that the hotels have an outstanding reputation and I am looking forward to building on this with the team.  The business levels in both hotels are very strong and I look forward to bringing my expertise in developing new business opportunities for the Clarion and Limerick city.”
