IRFU announce World Cup 2011 warm ups

The Ireland rugby team will play Scotland in Murrayfield in August next year as the first of its warm up games for the Rugby World Cup. The game against Scotland is scheduled for Saturday, August 6th and is the first of four scheduled warm up test games throughout before the team depart for New Zealand.

After the Scotland game, Ireland will travel to play France in the first of back to back games against the current RBS 6 Nations Champions on Saturday, August 13th at a venue yet to be confirmed, but knowing France, it will be played in the south of the country.

Les Bleus will then play the return game in Aviva Stadium on Saturday, August 20th before Ireland host England in the final game of the warm up programme on August 27th. The IRFU will confirm the times and venues in the next couple of weeks for the French double headers.
