To help raise vital funds for Console to support our services we are holding a fundraising event with Ireland’s Top Chef Neven Maguire, which will take place on April 27 next in the Strand Hotel, Limerick. Tickets are €20 and can be purchased from the hotel reception. In what promises to be a great night of entertainment Neven will provide plenty of cooking tips and show of his excellent cooking skills all in aid of Console that was established in 2002 by Paul Kelly after he had experienced the grief of losing a loved one through Suicide.

Through his loss, Paul recognised a need for a dedicated Service particular to Suicide Bereavement. Since then Console has developed into a National Organisation providing Professional Counselling, Support and Helpline Services to those Bereaved through Suicide.

Have you
been to France and are you a regular visitor to the Southern region of Provence? Even if you have a passing interest in the area, you should take a peek at www.provencefoodandwine.com where Mary Dowey, the Irish based food and wine writer will bring you on the virtual epicurean tour of the famed French garden. Mary brings you through the best of the region and offers great and helpful advice to travels new and old.

It’s all super for the wine buffs visiting Superquinn and Lidl as both supermarket chains have launched their nod to France and all things vinified. Superquinn have set the tills ringing as their French wine sale runs until April 19 where prices start from just €6 and €11 for a cracking Crozes Hermitage. Keep an eye out for their Champagne from Louis D’Or for just €20. Looking to the German store you will see that Lidl have bowed to the love of chocolate and bubbles by adding a champagne brut for just €17.99, a prosecco €6.79 and a host of cocoa based treats for Easter.
