Stones In His Pockets returns

LOFT Venue has hosted Orchard Theatre Company for the play ‘Five Kinds of Silence’ already this year.  In July, this company which has a special interest in drama driven by social issues, will bring the hit comedy ‘Stones in his Pockets’ to the Loft’s stage, overhead The Locke Bar. Expect a three night run.

“The hilarious tale of 15 very different people is performed by just two very talented actors Liam O’Brien and Frank Carlin,” Arts page is told. “The play is set in County Kerry, where the locals are swept up by the excitement and glamour of a glitzy Hollywood film crew. Jake Quinn and Charlie Conlon are two local lads who take jobs as extras on set, the money’s not bad, they get fed every day and they are constantly dazzled by the beauty of the star, Caroline Giovanni”.
Touring around the south, Stones in his Pockets will run in Limerick on Sunday July 3, Monday 4 and Tuesday 4.
‘The Old Time Irish Radio Show’, the dinner-cabaret night written and directed by Mike Finn, continues on July Wednesdays to Saturdays. Myles Breen, Nigel Dugdale, Liam O’Brien star with a collection of actors/ singers/ dancers/ musicians culled from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance.
