‘Good Friday’ solicitors in line for top award

LIMERICK firm of solicitors, Sweeney McGann, who represented the Vintners Federation in the historic special exemption order granted in the landmark Good Friday decision last year, has been nominated to the shortlist for “Licensing Law Firm of the Year Award” in Ireland by Corporate INTL 2011 Global Awards.

Corporate INTL 2011 Global Awards will mark excellence for the world’s leading advisers and financiers in array of countries and continents globally.
The 2011 awards commemorate those who have been active over the past 12 months and who have shown excellence not only in expertise but in service and during a difficult global economic downturn.

The Corporate INTL Legal Awards for Practice Excellence marks the leading legal teams in chosen practice areas globally.
A panel of experts chose 12 core practice areas and developed a shortlist.
There are only three firms in Ireland nominated and the winner will be announced on August 15.
A spokesperson for Sweeney McGann said they were honoured to have been shortlisted.
