Ireland XV named for club international against England

THE Ireland club XV to play England Counties in the club international at Temple Hill in Cork on Friday night has been named, with four of the starting 15 from Limerick clubs.

Shannon have two players starting and there is one each from Young Munster and UL Bohemians. There is also a Young Munster player among the substitutes.

Shannon’s Richie Mullane wins his first cap at full-back, with club-mate Kevin Griffin lining out at tighthead prop.

The experienced Ger Slattery of Young Munster starts as hooker and UL Bohs’ Ed Kelly is in the second row.

Among the replacement is Young Munster’s Neville Melbourne, bringing to five the Limerick representation in the Ireland squad for Friday’s game.
