“FIRE up the festive season and join Vladimir as he brings a radiant glow to some of the most beautiful classical melodies from the Viennese and Romantic era,” invites the University Concert Hall.

“The Slovak violin sensation will be performing a brand new Christmas programme including pieces from his forthcoming album ‘Vladimir’s Classical Christmas’ which was released this November”.

Vlad Jablokov, child prodigy grown into mature recording artist and ensemble leader, has built an energetic following in Ireland, boosted by his regular tours and handpicked musicians. Dishy looks help too.

On Thursday December 5, he will be joined by soprano Claudia Boyle, tenor Sean Costello and no less than eight members of the Jablokov family. The man himself is of fourth generation music stock and was trained in the classical tradition by his Russian maestro father.

Previous concerts spun around classical music “with a twist” or the canon of Mario Lanzo.

On Thursday 5 at 8 pm, the audience will be treated to compositions by Strauss Family, Franz Lehar, Sergei Prokofiev and Christmas songs and carols.
