THE Shannon-based Coastguard Helicopter was flying over the city this afternoon as part of the search for a missing woman.

The woman – who has not been named – has been missing from her home in county Limerick since early yesterday. It is believed she may have made her way to the city.

The helicopter was concentrating its efforts in the area of the River Shannon.
