LIMERICK CC registered a fine away win against Carrickfergus in the opening round of the Men’s National Cup at the weekend.

Victories continued for the club throughout the weekend, with Limerick’s 3rd XI back to winning ways in Division 2 after they came out on top of a nail-biting finish against Cork Harlequins in Farmer’s Cross.

Elsewhere, a spirited performance from Limerick’s 4th XI didn’t see them home against the Waterford Vikings at the Manor Fields.

Meanwhile, Limerick’s women’s side earned two victories from their double-header to kickstart their campaign in style, defeating both Lismore and County Galway respectively in Adare.

Limerick will field two teams this weekend, with both games taking place on Sunday afternoon.

The 1st XI will look to carry their performance in Carrickfergus into their clash against Midleton in the Premier League, where Bogavelly and co. will return to action.

The other game that day will see Limerick’s 3rd XI welcome Cork Harlequins to the Manor Fields for an 11am start, marking the return fixture from Saturday’s encounter.
