Limerick’s Shane Waters nominated for Irish Player of the Year

JANESBORO FC midfielder Shane Waters has been selected as a nominee for Junior International Player of the Year in the FAI ‘3’ International Football Awards, which take place in Dublin on Sunday March 2.

The St Mary’s Park native featured for Republic of Ireland in the 2013 FAI Umbro Quadrangular Tournament, which was held in Limerick last October, and he played his part in ensuring that the host nation triumphed in the competition with three wins from three games.

He is also a key figure in the Janesboro FC side which currently lies second in the LDMC Premier Division.

The awards ceremony will be broadcast live from RTE studios in Donnybrook on March 2.
