Search to resume for missing county Limerick woman

A SEARCH for a missing woman in her 20s will resume in County Limerick later this morning following a day of land and sea based search operations.

The major land, sea and air search began in the Pallaskenry area at 8am on Monday morning and was stood down as light faded.

The woman, in her twenties, was last seen on Saturday.

The extensive search team includes Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue Service along with Ballybunion Coast Guard, Shannon based Rescue Helicopter R115, Limerick Marine Search and Rescue, Foynes Search and Rescue, Kilkee Coast Guard, Bunratty Search and Rescue and locals are all involved in the search.

The search is focused on the estuary of the River Shannon.
