Business community loses leading lights

LIMERICK’s business community is mourning the loss this week of two of its leading lights, Nevil O’Sullivan of Nevil’s shoes and Gretta Fitzgerald of Greta Gibbs.

Nevil O’Sullivan RIP

A father of three, Nevil ran a successful shoe-sales business in O’Connell Street for many years. The Ballyclough man passed away on November 14 peacefully at Milford Care Centre after an illness.

He is survived by his wife Chris, and children Méabh, Nevil and Jack as well as his brothers Gene and John, sister-in-law Helen, staff of Nevil’s Shoes, mother-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law. He was buried after Requiem Mass on Monday in Castlemungret Cemetery.

 

 

 

Greta Fitzgerald RIP
Gretta Fitzgerald RIP

Mrs Fitzgerald was at the helm of Gretta Gibbs boutique in Catherine Street for almost thirty years. She died on November 15 following an accident in her home.

Gretta is survived by her husband Sean, sons Ryan, Paul and Josh as well as sisters Veronica, Lillian and Ursula and brothers, Ollie and James.

The house is private and funeral Mass will be at 11 am on Wednesday, November 19.
