Bus Éireann cuts condemned in Limerick

New Bus Limk 12LIMERICK Sinn Féin comhairleoir Séighin Ó Ceallaigh has condemned further cuts to Bus Éireann services that will see 15 towns and villages across Ireland lose what he considers a “vital service for the rural community and a source of jobs throughout the country”. Bus Éireann confirmed that a number of services on its commercial Expressway network are under review. According to Cmhr Ó Ceallaigh, the cuts are a direct result of years of underfunding public transport services. “Communities across Limerick will be badly affected if this approach to our public transport services is allowed continue. Bus Éireann is an essential part of our public transport network,” he said.
